I decided to break up the drive back home from Chicago with a pit stop at a small zoo called Binder Zoo in Battle Creek, MI. It is a lovely little Zoo with a train and a carousel and kangaroos... so everyone was happy!

The kids especially enjoyed a pen full of billy goats that they could go in to.

This was the big day when Connor finally got his Australian Passport! The kids and I drove to Chicago, put ourselves up at the Westin (well???) and had fun... so here are the kids at the Consulate.

Here are some photos from our birthday bash last night. Kieran and I had a ball, it was an absolute hoot! Just wish everyone could have come!

On saturday we took the kids to the Saline County Fair that we have gone to each summer since we moved here. It is the best one in our area and has a great petting zoo.

Connor loves the tractors and of course spiderman that he won on one of those hammer swing things.... but he wasn't so sure about the kiddy coaster (although if you look at the photo the other kids weren't either)... but Annabel LOVES roller coasters and would go on the big ones if we let her!

Here is our big boy Connor on his first day of pre-school at the Gingerbread House where Annabel also went. He loves it and is so familiar with the teachers etc from spending so much time here with Annabel that I think he will be very at home! He didn't want to go home today! He was up this morning with his spider man pj's and his spider man back pack all ready to go!

Here is our beautiful little (or should I say big girl) on her first day of school! She did so well and was so excited. She didn't cry at all and was happy to kiss me good-bye and get on with it. Connor and I are a little lost now without her!
