This whole part of the upper peninsula of Michigan is all about mining.. so we thought while we are here at Iron mountain we would go on a underground tour of an iron ore mine. We went down 400 ft underground and were there about 40 minutes... there were bats and great stories from the old mining days told. It was cold down there! About 40 degrees F or bloody freezing for the Aussies!
